hJunior Boys Basketball

The Duchess Park Condors Junior Boys Basketball teams continues it’s success this season with the DP Todd Junior Boys Trojans War Tournament over the weekend. The Condors came away with the 50-46 win over Cedars in the final. Matt Foster picked up 12 points while Cam Wharram had 10 points for the Condors. Cedars got their scoring from John Bonnett with 22 points and Jeremy Wilson picked up 20 points.
DP Todd Trojans finished third with a 79-30 win over Correlieu. Bhupinder Johal led the Trojans with 14 points.
The first all-star team had Jon Bonnett (Cedars), Bhupinder Johal (DP Todd), Kyum Shogren (DPSS), Matt Foster (DPSS) and Jeremy Wilson (Cedars). The second all-star team had Cody Mineault (JMC), Dennis Starks (KRSS), Jesse Greenwood (KRSS), Eric Saunders (DP Todd) and Dan Kragt (Cedars).
Steve Steel (JMC) was named top defensive player. Cam Wharram was named most valuable player of the tournament.
hGrade Nine girls basketball

The DP Todd Trojans Grade nine girls basketball team remains undefeated against Grade 9 teams this year after a 37-28 win over Duchess Park at the Lakewood Grade 9 Girls Tournament over the weekend.
The Trojans were led by Melissa Binnie with 10 points and seven rebounds. Jessica Freimuller had eight points and 10 boards. The Condors leading scorer was Kaitlin Matthis with 14 points.
Lakewood came away with third place while John McInnis was fourth. College Heights finished fifth with Cedars sixth in the six team tournament.
hMidget hockey

The Coast Inn of the North Midget B Cougars hosted 100 Mile House in a pair of league games over the weekend. The Cats won the opener 6-5 over 100 Mile. Nathan Teegee and Travis Brand each picked up two goals. Vincein Scott and Coby Johnson each had one goal.
The Cats dropped the second game 8-6. CJ Potvin had a pair of goals in the loss. Johnson, Eric Wilderman, Brent Anderson and Brand each had singles.
