Ian Tyson returns to Prince George for show June 6

Canadian music legend Ian Tyson will bring his songs and stories to Vanier Hall in Prince George on June 6. Tyson, who turned 81 last fall, is showing no signs of slowing down. Between his ranch in the foothills of the Rockies and his music, he finds ways to keep busy. In the past 10 years, he has released four albums, put out a two-disc concert video and filmed a music documentary for Bravo. Gerry Dee coming to Vanier Hall

As life changes, so does Gerry Dee’s comedy routine. “When I started doing stand-up,” Dee says over the phone from Ontario, “teaching took front and centre. Dance Festival underway

The 38th Prince George Dance Festival is underway with 515 competitors and over 1,200 dances being performed over a six-day festival, says executive committee co-chair Julie Fisher. This includes approximately 900 solos, 100 duos and 200 groups.
