Mackenzie teens identified as victims of fatal crash

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identities of two teens who died following a motor vehicle incident near McLeod Lake on April 3. Dead are Leslie David Avery Jr., 17, and Ian Daryl Potvin, 16, both of Mackenzie. Leslie Avery was the driver of, and Ian Potvin a passenger in, a car heading northbound on Highway 97 about 6:45 a.m. on April 3. A 31-year-old man is dead following a two-vehicle crash near Fraser Lake Thursday morning. Fraser Lake RCMP were called to the scene at 8:39 a.m. The accident involved a collision between a commercial vehicle and a pickup truck about two kilometres east of Fraser Lake. The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died following the accident on the Hart Highway Wednesday.. Dead is Michelle Susanne Auger, 39, of Prince George. The pedestrian killed when he was hit by a pickup on First Avenue Sunday has been identified as Scotty Bryan, 36, of Vanderhoof. Three injured in fire at Burns Lake mill

An explosion and fire at the Pinnacle Pellet plant in Burns Lake this morning has seriously injured three people.
