Police are investigating two accidents over the weekend.
The first occurred Friday when a car hit a cyclist in the 800 block of Ahbau Street. The cyclist, a 21-year-old Prince George man, was transported to hospital by ambulance. He suffered minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
The second incident occurred at about 2 p.m. on Saturday at Spruceland. A middle-aged woman and her mother were struck by a newer white or tan SUV in the parking lot of the mall. The two women had stepped off the curb and were headed towards their parked car with the SUV struck them.
The two women sustained minor bruising but did not seek medical attention.
The SUV stopped briefly, but then left the scene. The two women were not able to obtain a licence plate. Police are seeking any witnesses to the incident who may have recorded the licence plate of the SUV or known the the identity of the woman who was driving the SUV.
