A 31-year-old man is dead following a two-vehicle crash near Fraser Lake Thursday morning.

Fraser Lake RCMP were called to the scene at 8:39 a.m. The accident involved a collision between a commercial vehicle and a pickup truck about two kilometres east of Fraser Lake. A woman who was a passenger in the deceased’s vehicle, escaped with minor injuries.

The highway will be closed in both directions for an undetermined amount of time as a North District collision re-constructionist is on route to the scene.

Cause of the crash is under investigation at this time and more details may be provided once known.
