Man shot Sunday near Fifth Avenue and Gillett St. has died
A 45-year-old man from Prince George has died as a result of injuries he sustained yesterday after being shot near Fifth Avenue and Gillett Street.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Sunday March 22, the Prince George RCMP and other emergency services were called to a report of a man down on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Gillett Street.
Officers arrived and found a man with serious injuries. He was transported by the BC Ambulance Service to the University Hospital of Northern BC where he passed away. Foul play is suspected and the Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Section has taken over the investigation.
The west bound section of Fifth Avenue from Carney Street to Gillett Street was closed until approximately 6 p.m. yesterday while evidence was gathered.
