LETTER: Senior gives accolades

Editor:

I am writing to advise and praise the people of Prince George involved in their senior commitment, most specifically the remarkable, hospitable and thoughtful employees of the Huble Homestead.

It was inspiration to attend an advertised Senior’s Day June 22 at a cost of $15. Included in the day trip outing to the historical site was transportation (the array of colorful wildflowers was impressive) there and back, lunch and dessert (the Huble berry crumble was awesome), entertainment, guided tour and invitation to participate in the making of ice cream, the old fashioned way.

If you were a senior in Prince George on Sunday June 22 and stayed at home, you missed out. From the gracious hostesses Nicole, Carly and the entire Huble Homestead staff, the budding actors of the Nechako Community Theatre Society, (writers and manager), the old fashioned ice cream making team, the Pr. George Chateau staff and to Laurie, the PW professional bus driver of Bus 3004, all of you contributed to the health and well-being of three dozen seniors by creating a very memorable day. Thank-you.
