Games 1 and 2 of the Prince George Cougars opening round quarter-final playoff series with the Victoria Royals certainly lived up to the hype.

Sixteen members of the Prince George Cougars made their WHL playoff debuts last weekend. They competed hard against the veteran-laden Royals and went nose-to-nose with a team with over 300 combined games of WHL playoff experience. Despite being down 2-0 in the series, the Cougars are coming home confident knowing that WHL playoff hockey is back in Prince George, and our fans are not about to make this an easy week for the visitors from Victoria.

Game 3 will be played Wednesday, April 1st at 7 p.m. and Game 4 goes the next night (Thursday) also at 7 p.m. at the CN Centre.

“With only four home playoff games over the past eight years, our city has been starved of the opportunity to experience the electric, thrilling and fun atmosphere of the CN Centre filled with rowdy fans,” said Prince George Cougars Vice President of Business, Andy Beesley, in a press release. “We’ve decided to bring back the ‘white out,’ and we’re encouraging all fans to wear white jerseys or shirts. The white-out is not only fun, but it shows an amazing solidarity and support to our players.”

Limited edition Prince George Cougars white playoff shirts will also be for sale on site for an amazingly low prize of $5. You will be amazed at what a huge ‘Sea of White’ can do to the mood of the players who are looking forward to holding serve at home against Victoria.
