Canada’s diversity

July 1, the birthday of our country, is probably the best holiday of the year. It doesn't get complicated with gift buying at Christmas or eating eggs purported to be laid by rabbits at Easter. We should all use the day, or several days, to celebrate what a wonderful place Canada is to live.

The riot following the final game of the Stanley Cup playoffs has raised the anger level of many people. Not just in the Vancouver area but throughout the province. The anger does not arise from this single event, but from the change in attitudes, particularly with some of our youth.
