Prince George audiences will get a taste of one of music's fastest growing genres on Saturday when the Alpha program kicks off with its all-day Christian rock concert. Organizer Maureen Schultz says the afternoon and evening shows will feature some of the best music from a variety of local Christian churches.

Bel Canto comes of age

The Bel Canto sound will grow a bit more mature this year as the choir announces the start of a new choir for singers 16 to 25 years old. Cynthia Halliwell, a volunteer with the organization and parent of two young Bel Canto singers, says growing another set of voices has been a longtime goal for the choir.
