Gregory Brendan Hurley has been charged with dangerous driving, impaired driving and criminal negligence causing bodily harm after a roll-over accident on Highway 16 east of Prince George, April 8. The 25-year-old Edmonton man was arrested after being released from hospital in the afternoon following the crash. The roll-over occured just west of Bowron River Bridge. Hurley was driving the GMC Safari van when he lost control and slid off the road at approximately 12:45 a.m. Hurley was ejected from the van and the four passengers suffered minor to moderate injuries. RCMP believe alcohol, drugs, speed, aggressive driving and failure to wear a seatbelt were involved in the crash. The van was driving erraticaly before the crash. Police are looking for an aboriginal man who picked up two of the passengers and dropped them off in Prince George.
They believe he may have valuable information for investigators and ask him to contact Fraser-Fort George Traffic Services at 250-649-4004.
