hCorker floats on
Theatre North West announced last week that it has added an additional week to its funny, powerful hit Corker.
Before the announcement there were only 81 seats available for the remaining 13 performances, the theatre can now make up to 1,300 more tickets available.
Holding hit shows over is not unusual at Theatre North West – last year three plays were held over for extra shows.
Corker is a Canadian play written by Wendy Lill, one of the country’s most celebrated playwrights. It centres around Merit MacPhee – a top civil servant, her family and a young man named Corker.
The play is funny in parts and incredibly powerful in others, and features a stellar cast of talented actors.
Tickets are available at Mosquito Books and Studio 2880.
hMS support group

Prince George Theatre Workshop Society’s Youth Initiative Spot Lite Theatre Company is presenting A Christmas Adventure by local playwright David Quast.
The play follows the adventures of three young people set on saving their friend from the clutches of an evil scientist.
Along the way, they encounter some strange and peculiar characters determined to thwart their plans. The combination of Harry Potter meets the Grinch will soon be a family holiday favourite.
The play is directed by Bas Rynsewyn and has evening performances at 7 p.m, December 11-13 and matinee performances 2 p.m. December 13 and 14.
Tickets are $10 and are available at the Prince George Playhouse.
hHoliday house tour
The Two Rivers Gallery is holding a holiday fundraiser. Six local houses will be professionally decorated by local interior designers.
The idea is based on this summer’s successful garden tour. For the price of a ticket, people will be given plastic booties and a map to six houses.
Musicians and artists will be on hand to meet and greet. Tickets can be purchased at Two Rivers Gallery.
Rapper extrordinare Snoop Dogg will soon be rolling into Prince George in his Cadillac Snoop De Ville.
After a successful summer touring with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snoop Dogg has decided to take a bite out of the big city Sunday December 7 at the Multiplex.
Ticket prices are $44.50 for general admission on the floor, and $39.50 for reserved seating.
