UNBC looks to make some noise

Last time the UNBC Timberwolves and Langara Falcons clashed, the difference between winner and loser was just two points. That time, a home game back in January, the only thing on the line was regular season standings, and the Falcons came out on top. Within two years the rink had moved into the basement of the Civic Centre and Smale had become a genuine curling fanatic.

Indvidual achievement

Carmen Hansford knows a few things that most other 12-year-old girls don't. She knows how to regulate her breathing and heart-rate. She knows about nutrition and pre-competition preparation. And she knows how to shoot a target the size of her fist dead-centre with a rifle while her heart is pounding in her chest.
