New Year’s baby arrives at UHNBC

The first baby born at the University Hospital of Northern B.C. in Prince George in 2015 is a boy. Jack August Simmons was born on January 1 at 8:50 p.m. local time to mom Jennifer Lestage and dad Tim Simmons of Prince George weighing in at seven pounds, one ounce. Cariboo Cougars win Mac’s tourney in double OT thriller

The Cariboo Cougars are the Mac’s AAA Midget Tournament Champions for 2014. The Prince George Spruce Kings have made a couple of trades The team has acquired 20-year-old forward Michael Buonincontri and 18-year-old defenceman Greydon Robinson from the West Kelowna Warriors in exchange for 20-year-old defenceman Tyler Kunz.
