If you’re heading up to UNBC via 15th Avenue and University Way this morning, you will be greeted by police officers and a cordoned off road. A device that police fear may be explosive was found on University Way at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday night, says RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Craig Douglass. Home ice isn’t helping the Prince George Cougars at the Bantam Tier 1 Provincials being held this week at Kin 1. The host team fell to 0-3 after losing 5-0 to the North Shore Winter Club in the final game on Tuesday.
