The Yukon Roots Music World Tour with Sarah Macdougall and Gordie Tentrees reaches Prince George on March 26.
The double-bill night of north country music features renowned string bender Ken Hermanson. The group is performing in Canada, the U.S., Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
Macdougall has been touring internationally for years with her dynamic songs, guitar stylings and great vocals. She’s earned rave reviews and topped major music writers Ton Ten album of the Year lists as a songwriter while producing and engineering her own albums. Tentrees has released three albums internationally. The most recent, Mercy or Sin, was nominated for the 2010 Western Canadian Music Award for Roots Solo Album of the Year. He performed at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver for the New Songs New Voices concert. He was also selected by CBC Radio’s 2009 Song Quest as one of Canada’s top songwriters.
