The YMCA of Northern B.C commemorates 50 years in Prince George Monday with a birthday cake and celebration. CEO Amanda Alexander said in a news release that “over 50 years, the Y has brought so many positive outcomes to our community. Coming to the YMCA is truly beneficial for so many reasons; it’s a place that fosters social inclusion and ensures that everyone has access to health and wellness regardless of financial barriers and it builds self esteem and productivity.” Teresa MALLAM/Free Press
