The Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research will be held on September 14. The run will begin at Ron Brent Elementary School at 9 a.m.
The local race will include rollerblading, bike and wheelchairs. All money raised by the Terry Fox Foundation is distributed through the National Cancer Institute of Canada.

The Oldtimers Hockey Challenge is coming to Prince George November 14 at the Prince George Multiplex.
Leading the Oldtimers will be NHL Hall of Famer Darryl Sittler, Dave ‘Tiger’ Williams, Bob Bourne, Marek Napier, Gary Nylund, Richard Brodeur and other players.
They will face off against the Prince George Firefighters team in a charity game with a portion of all proceeds going to the Prince George Spirit of the North Health Care Foundation.
Tickets for the event are $15 and on sale at Ticketmaster.
The Prince George Masters Swim Club will be getting their fall swim session underway on September 14 at 8:45 a.m.

The Prince George Women’s Soccer Association is winding down for the 2003 season. Division 2 and 3 playoff finals are set for today at the North Cariboo Senior Soccer Fields.
Division two final will get underway at 1 p.m. which will be followed by the division three final at 3 p.m.
The Prince George Grizzly West Axemen will get underway today with the Southern Interior Football Conference.
The Axemen will be hosting the Vernon Wolverines at 10 a.m. at Massey Place Stadium.
The Axemen will be back in action next week when they host the Salmon Arm Chargers also at Massey Place Stadium.
