Cougars fire Clark
Dean Clark has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the Prince George Cougars.
The Western Hockey League team announced the move in a short press release just after noon on Tuesday.
Clark had a record of 83-163-5-11 since taking over the coaching job in April 2009.
"We would like to thank Dean for his commitment to the Prince George Cougars organization for the past three-and-a-half years," vice-president Brandi Brodsky said in the press release.
The Cougars are currently ninth in the 10-team Western Conference, five points out of a playoff spot.
The Cougars' next game is Wednesday when they host the Prince Albert Raiders. No replacement for Clark has been named.
