All she needs is a little help from her Prince George friends. The photo is of her favourite four-legged friends – some of the 40 or so little goats she raises on her hobby farm on Chilako River Road.
“The photo was sent into a weekly online photo contest and it won – I don’t know who sent it in but then it was entered into one segment of the semi-finals and won that too,” said Gustafson. “Now we are in the finals. Only five photos out of hundreds from around the world. So this is very exciting for our farm and puts Prince George on the map.”
To vote, people have to click on her photo and “like” it. Everyone is welcome to share the photo at www.facebook.com/caprinecapersandmore with their friends. The contest ends New Years Day at 2 p.m. The goats have their own facebook page and to see more photos go to www.facebook.com/ChilakoNubians.
Besides her love of photography, Gustafson makes soaps from goat’s milk (her husband Brad does the milking) and on Thursday she will be at the Ave Maria Health Health Foods and Gifts store with a display of her handmade soaps.
“My daughter just loves goats. And she loves her camera. You always see her in the field with them taking pictures,” says her mother Renee Bonnett.
