Roof of nursery caves in
Friday morning at approximately 6 a.m, a portion of the roof of a seedling facility at Canfor’s JD Little Tree Nursery in Prince George collapsed due to snow loads.
No one was present in the facility at the time and there were no injuries. The building contains 16 million seedlings valued at approximately $3 million. Due to safety conditions, site access is restricted to emergency personnel. Canfor anticipates being able to construct a temporary shelter to house the seedlings at safe temperatures until repairs are made to the facility.
