One person dead in multi-vehicle crash north of Hixon

One person has reportedly been killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 97 about 10 kilometres north of Hixon. The accident occurred around lunchtime and the highway is closed in both directions, however a one-lane, five-kilometre detour with a pilot car has been established for passenger vehicles only. It is not known when the highway will be re-opened.
