Courts busy with variety of offences

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Oct. 11:

Jeremiah R. Free was found guilty of assault, sentenced to 55 days in jail and placed on probation for one year. Free was also found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking, sentenced to 30 days in jail and placed on probation for one year.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Oct. 12:

Curtis T. Bjorklund was found guilty of driving while prohibited, fined $500 and assessed a victim surcharge of $75.

Roberto Cabral was found guilty of fraud, received a conditional sentence of two years less a day, placed on probation for three years and assessed a victim surcharge of $100.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Oct. 15:

Jordin L. Abou was found guilty of two counts of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 30 days in jail. Abou was also found guilty of a third count of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 52 days in jail.

Cody D. Chapman was found guilty of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle while impaired, sentenced to 30 days in jail to be served intermittently, placed on probation until the expiration of the jail sentence, assessed a victim surcharge of $100 and prohibited from driving for two years. Chapman was also found guilty of driving while prohibited, placed on probation for one year, assessed a victim surcharge of $100 and prohibited from driving for one year.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Oct. 16:

Rory R. Hardt was found guilty of uttering threats and two counts of assault, received a conditional sentence of six months, was placed on probation for two years, assessed a victim surcharge of $50 and prohibited from possessing firearms for 10 years.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Oct. 17:

Charanjit S. Manhas was found guilty of driving without due care and attention, fined $1,000 and assessed a victim surcharge of $150.

Kevin J. Beattie was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 42 days in jail.

Adrian P. Joseph was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while impaired, sentenced to 60 days in jail and prohibited from driving for two years. Joseph was also found guilty of driving with a suspended licence, fined $500, assessed a victim surcharge of $75 and prohibited from driving for one year.

Alex J.J. Joseph was found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance, fined $500 and assessed a victim surcharge of $75.

Douglas W. Joseph was found guilty of possession of stolen property with a value less than $5,000 and sentenced to 15 days in jail. Joseph was also found guilty of theft of property with a value greater than $5,000 and sentenced to four months in jail. Joseph was also found guilty of theft of property with a value less than $5,000 and sentenced to six months in jail.

Aaron J. Morin was found guilty of break and enter and disguise with intent, sentenced to seven days in jail and received a lifetime prohibition on the possession of firearms. Morin was also found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to seven days in jail.

Edward J. Nelson was found guilty of two counts of assault, placed on probation for 18 months, assessed a victim surcharge of $50 and prohibited from possessing firearms for three years.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Oct. 18:

Frank F. Frost was found guilty of unauthorized possession of a firearm and careless use of a firearm, placed on probation for 18 months and prohibited from possessing firearms for five years. Frost was also found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking and sentenced to one day in jail. Frost was also found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to six days in jail.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Oct. 19:

Joseph F. Fleiger was found guilty of breach of recognizance and sentenced to one day in jail.

Ryan C. George was found guilty of three counts of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 90 days in jail.

Rudolph J. Jenkinsjan was found guilty of four counts of break and enter, sentenced to eight years in jail and received a lifetime prohibition on the possession of firearms.

John A. Poole was found guilty of breach of recognizance and sentenced to 28 days in jail.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Oct. 22:

Francis R. Frederick was found guilty of dangerous hunting or trapping and sentenced to one day in jail.

Tanil L.C. Williams was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and received a conditional sentence of 30 days.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Oct. 23:

Daniel A. Gould was found guilty of failing to produce a valid driver’s licence when ordered to do so, fined $1,000 and assessed a victim surcharge of $150.

Jordan D. Skin was found guilty of mischief, sentenced to 25 days in jail and placed on probation for one year. Skin was also found guilty of two counts of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to seven days in jail. Skin was also found guilty of another count of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to 14 days in jail. Skin was also found guilty of two more counts of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to 30 days in jail.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Oct. 24:

Amanda L. Allan was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to one day in jail.

Nicholas J. Angus was found guilty of driving without due care and attention, fined $1,000 and assessed a victim surcharge of $150.

David W. Girroir was found guilty of driving while prohibited, fined $600, assessed a victim surcharge of $90 and prohibited from driving for one year.

Melissa K. Heykoop was found guilty of failing to produce a valid driver’s licence when ordered to do so, fined $400 and assessed a victim surcharge of $75.

Brandon D. Johnson was found guilty of theft of property with a value less than $5,000 and possession of stolen property with a value less than $5,000, sentenced to 30 days in jail and placed on probation for one year. Johnson was also found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order, sentenced to 18 days in jail, time credited of 12 days in jail, time served of 30 days in jail and placed on probation for one year.

Joanna B.F. Potskin was found guilty of two counts of theft of property with a value less than $5,000, sentenced to five months in jail and placed on probation for one year.

Everett R.E. Patrick was found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance, sentenced to one day in jail, time credited of three months in jail, time served of three months in jail and placed on probation for 18 months.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Oct. 25:

Peter B. Byl was found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance, sentenced to one day in jail and assessed a victim surcharge of $50. Byl was also found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking, assessed a victim surcharge of $50 and placed on probation for 18 months.

Billy B. Lolly was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to seven days in jail. Lolly was also found guilty of two more counts of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 15 days in jail.

Nathan A.D. Peters was found guilty of four counts of uttering threats, sentenced to 21 days in jail, placed on probation for one year, assessed a victim surcharge of $50 and prohibited from possessing firearms for two years.

James R. Purcell was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and two counts of theft of property with a value less than $5,000, sentenced to 52 days in jail and placed on probation for one year.

John R.J. Graham was found guilty of assault and sentenced to 47 days in jail. Graham was also found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Charles Luggi was found guilty of theft of property with a value less than $5,000 and sentenced to one day in jail and time credited of four days in jail. Luggi was also found guilty of two other counts of theft of property with a value less than $5,000, sentenced to one day in jail and time credited of four days in jail and placed on probation for 12 months.

Scott L. Sampare was found guilty of assault and failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance, sentenced to one day in jail and placed on probation for 12 months.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Oct. 30:

Scott W. Barnner was found guilty of failing to stop a motor vehicle when ordered to do so, assessed a victim surcharge of $50, placed on probation for 12 months and prohibited from driving for one year.

Brendan M. Clark was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance, fined $100 and assessed a victim surcharge of $100.

Justin G. Dionne was found guilty of driving while prohibited, fined $500, assessed a victim surcharge of $75 and prohibited from driving for one year.

Christine T. Ivany was found guilty of two counts of robbery, sentenced to 11 months in jail, placed on probation for two years and received a lifetime prohibition on the possession of firearms. Ivany was also found guilty of two counts of disguise with intent and two more counts of robbery, sentenced to nine months in jail, placed on probation for two years and received a lifetime prohibition on the possession of firearms. Ivany was also found guilty of escaping from lawful custody and resisting a peace officer, sentenced to one month in jail, placed on probation for two years and received a lifetime prohibition on the possession of firearms. Ivany was also found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance, sentenced to 14 days in jail, placed on probation for two years and received a lifetime prohibition on the possession of firearms. Ivany was also found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking and sentenced to 14 days in jail. Ivany was also found guilty of a second count of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and a second count of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking and sentenced to 21 days in jail. Ivany was also found guilty of another count of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Vicky M. Massettoe was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited, sentenced to 26 days in jail and prohibited from driving for two years.

Wayne H. Parry was found guilty of two counts of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 26 days in jail.

Justin L. Pierre was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 53 days in jail.

Raymond G. McCormick was found guilty of failing to produce a valid driver’s licence when ordered to do so, fined $2,000 and assessed a victim surcharge of $300.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Oct. 31:

Alexander C. Chin was found guilty of driving without due care and attention, fined $1,000 and assessed a victim surcharge of $150.

David J.R. Halabecki was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order, sentenced to one day in jail, fined $250 and assessed a victim surcharge of $37.50.

Clayton L. Palley was found guilty of failing to provide a breath sample when ordered to do so and fined $1,000. Palley was also found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance, sentenced to one day in jail and prohibited from driving for one year.

Christopher Raiser was found guilty of mischief, placed on probation for one year and assessed a victim surcharge of $50.

Jessica L. Twan was found guilty of driving while prohibited, fined $500, assessed a victim surcharge of $75 and prohibited from driving for one year.

Kurt J. Vlchek was found guilty of assaulting a peace officer, placed on probation for one year, assessed a victim surcharge of $50 and prohibited from possessing firearms for two years.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Nov. 1:

Glen B. Pierre was found guilty of assault, sentenced to time served of seven days in jail and placed on probation for one year. Pierre was also found guilty of failing to attend court and failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to time served of seven days in jail. Pierre was also found guilty of theft of property with a value less than $5,000 and placed on probation for one year.

Francis H. Thomas was found guilty of three counts of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 20 days in jail.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Nov. 2:

Josephine M. Joseph was found guilty of assault, sentenced to 36 days in jail and placed on probation for one year. Joseph was also found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order, sentenced to 21 days in jail and placed on probation for one year.

Marty F. Nole was found guilty of resisting a peace officer and placed on probation for six months.

Samuel A. Poitras was found guilty of possession of stolen property with a value greater than $5,000, fined $500, assessed a victim surcharge of $75 and placed on probation for one year.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Nov. 5:

Warren A. Beattie was found guilty of assault and sentenced to five months in jail. Beattie was also found guilty of breach of recognizance and failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to time served of three months in jail.

Gordon E. Carpenter was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order, sentenced to 75 days in jail and placed on probation for one year.

Ernie Jakesta was found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking and sentenced to one day in jail.

Blaine W. John was found guilty of assault, received a conditional sentence of six months, was placed on probation for two years, assessed a victim surcharge of $50 and prohibited from possessing firearms for five years. John was also found guilty of robbery and theft of property with a value less than $5,000, received a conditional sentence of six months, was placed on probation for two years and assessed a victim surcharge of $50. Fleiger was also found guilty of breach of recognizance and three counts of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to 21 days in jail. Feliger was also found guilty of a second count of breach of recognizance and sentenced to one day in jail. Fleiger was also found guilty of uttering threats and placed on probation for one year.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Nov. 6:

Brandon C.T. Darter was found guilty of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, fined $1,000, assessed a victim surcharge of $150 and prohibited from driving for one year.

Laurie H. Mann was found guilty of driving without due care and attention, fined $600 and assessed a victim surcharge of $90.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Nov. 7:

Cornelia N. Clay was found guilty of driving while prohibited, fined $500, assessed a victim surcharge of $75 and prohibited from driving for one year.

Angel N. Douglas was found guilty of mischief, placed on probation for 12 months and assessed a victim surcharge of $100.

April Jackson was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and fined $250.

Bhupinder S. Johal was found guilty of driving without due care and attention, fined $1,200 and assessed a victim surcharge of $180.

Hugh A. Macdonald was found guilty of driving while prohibited, fined $500, assessed a victim surcharge of $75 and prohibited from driving for one year.

Patrick J. Massettoe was found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance, sentenced to eight days in jail to be served intermittently and placed on probation until the expiration of the jail sentence.

Pawluck was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of traffic and resisting a peace officer, sentenced to 372 days in jail and received a lifetime prohibition on the possession of firearms. Pawluck was also found guilty of two counts of driving while prohibited, sentenced to 14 days in ail and prohibited from driving for two years.

Qi D. Qiu was found guilty of production of a controlled substance, received a conditional sentence of one year and prohibited from possessing firearms for 10 years.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Nov. 8:

Jesse V. Bowley was found guilty of extortion, sentenced to two years in jail and received a lifetime prohibition on the possession of firearms. Bowley was also found guilty of possession of stolen property with a value greater than $5,000 and sentenced to four months in jail. Bowley was also found guilty of theft of property with a value less than $5,000 and sentenced to 30 days in jail. Bowley was also found guilty of driving with a suspended licence and sentenced to 15 days in jail.

Richmond J. Cowan was found guilty of driving while prohibited, fined $750, assessed a victim surcharge of $112.50 and prohibited from driving for one year. Cowan was also found guilty of resisting a peace officer and placed on probation for one year.

Shaun M. Dinelle was found guilty of two counts of driving while prohibited, sentenced to 45 days in jail to be served intermittently, placed on probation until the expiration of the jail sentence, assessed a victim surcharge of $50 and prohibited from driving for one year.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Nov. 9:

Perry A. Charlie was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and fined $250. Charlie was also found guilty of a second count of failing to comply with a probation order, sentenced to one day in jail and fined $250.

Beleina R. Frederick was found guilty of theft of property with a value less than $5,000 and sentenced to one day in jail.

Kevin M. Hamilton was found guilty of carrying a concealed weapon, sentenced to one day in jail, placed on probation for one year and prohibited from possessing firearms for five years. Hamilton was also found guilty of theft of property with a value less than $5,000 and sentenced to one day in jail.

Rico Isaac was found guilty of being unlawfully in a dwelling house and sentenced to 75 days in jail. Isaac was also found guilty of mischief and placed on probation for 15 months. Isaac was also found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to one day in jail.

Svetlana M. Markovic was found guilty of theft of property with a value less than $5,000, placed on probation for one year and assessed a victim surcharge of $25.

Damian J. Massettoe was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 83 days in jail.

Michael Massettoe was found guilty of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, sentenced to 30 days in jail and prohibited from driving for one year. Massettoe was also found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 23 days in jail.

Andrew St. Jean was found guilty of two counts of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to one day in jail.

Shawn D. Tomah was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 26 days in jail.

Sherry A. Basil was found guilty of assault causing bodily harm and placed on probation for 12 months.

Ernie Jakesta was found guilty of mischief and three counts of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking and sentenced to nine days in jail. Jakesta was also found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 15 days in jail.

Kohl A. Timms was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, sentenced to 14 months in jail and received a lifetime prohibition on the possession of firearms. Timms was also found guilty of a second count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, sentenced to 16 months in jail and received a lifetime prohibition on the possession of firearms.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Nov. 19:

Quinton John was found guilty of assault with a weapon, placed on probation for two years and prohibited from possessing firearms for 10 years.

Madeline M. Joseph was found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking, sentenced to one day in jail and placed on probation for two months.

Ivan C. Skin was found guilty of break and enter, sentenced to 90 days in jail and placed on probation for 12 months. Skin was also found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Florence Sutherland was found guilty of assault and sentenced to one day in jail.

Simone M. Thomas was found guilty of assaulting a peace officer and sentenced to 24 days in jail.

Skyler D. Brennan was found guilty of possession of stolen property with a value greater than $5,000 and sentenced to nine months in jail. Brennan was also found guilty of unauthorized possession of a firearm, sentenced to three months in jail and prohibited from possessing firearms for 10 years. Brennan was also found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to 10 days in jail. Brennan was also found guilty of a second count of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to 45 days in jail. Brennan was also found guilty of possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to one day in jail.

Nikkita A. John was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 25 days in jail.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Nov. 21:

Tyler L. Anderson was found guilty of two counts of break and enter, sentenced to 195 days in jail and placed on probation for two years. Anderson was also found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to one day in jail.

Kim M. Bulmer was found guilty of two counts of assault, sentenced to one day in jail, placed on probation for two years, assessed a victim surcharge of $50 and prohibited from possessing firearms for three years. Bulmer was also found guilty of four counts of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance, sentenced to one day in jail, placed on probation for two years and assessed a victim sucharge of $50.

Keghan S. Cosh was found guilty of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, sentenced to six months in jail and prohibited from possessing firearmss for 10 years. Sophia L. Desrochers was found guilty of two counts of mischief and two counts of assault and sentenced to one day in jail. Desrochers was also found guilty of a third count of assault and assaulting a police officer and placed on probation for three years.

Shaun S. Anatole was found guilty of possession of stolen property and failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 16 days in jail. Anatole was also found guilty of a second count of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 21 days in jail.

Jason L. Bourdon was found guilty of two counts of uttering threats, placed on probation for 18 months, assessed a victim surcharge of $50 and received a lifetime prohibition on the possession of firearms.

Francois C. Meerholz was found guilty of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, sentenced to 90 days in jail and prohibited from driving for three years.

Stewart was found guilty of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, sentenced to 30 days in jail, placed on probation for one year and prohibited from possessing firearms for three years. Tyler B. Sinclair was found guilty of theft of property with a value less than $5,000, sentenced to one day in jail and placed on probation for one year.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Jan. 10:

Tyrone R.H. Macdonald was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to one day in jail.

Tanya L. Abou was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and sentenced to 15 days in jail.

Calvin R. Dyrland was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order and failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance, fined $1,000 and assessed a victim surcharge of $50. Dyrland was also found guilty of a second count of failing to comply with a probation order, sentenced to one day in jail and assessed a victim surcharge of $50.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Jan. 11:

Karl X. Casimir was found guilty of driving while prohibited, fined $500, assessed a victim surcharge of $75 and prohibited from driving for one year.

Eugene Tom was found guilty of two counts of uttering threats, sentenced to 43 days in jail, placed on probation for one year and prohibited from possessing firearms for five years.

Barry A. Webster was found guilty of assault, sentenced to one day in jail, placed on probation for one year, assessed a victim surcharge of $50 and prohibited from possessing firearms for five years. Webster was also found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking, sentenced to one day in jail and assessed a victim surcharge of $50.

Saie J. Yellowbird was found guilty of two counts of assault, assault with a weapon, mischief and two counts of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking, sentenced to 77 days in jail, placed on probation for two years and prohibited from possessing firearms for 10 years.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Jan. 15:

William R.D. Barrie was found guilty of assault causing bodily harm, received a conditional sentence of four months, was placed on probation for eight months, assessed a victim surcharge of $50 and prohibited from possessing firearms for 10 years.

Kirk Clark was found guilty of theft of property with a value less than $5,000 and sentenced to three months in jail.

Shawn M. Joseph was found guilty of assault, sentenced to 22 days in jail, placed on probation for one year and prohibited from possessing firearms for five years. Joseph was also found guilty of two counts of failing to comply with a probation order, sentenced to 22 days in jail and placed on probation for one year.

Mae M. Thomas was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited, fined $500, assessed a victim surcharge of $75 and prohibited from driving for one year.

Gregory J. Smith was found guilty of violating a restriction on a driver’s licence, fined $1,000, assessed a victim surcharge of $150 and placed on probation for 13 months.

In Provincial Court in Prince George on Jan. 16:

Merle L. Charlie was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol reading over .08, sentenced to 21 days in jail, assessed a victim surcharge of $50 and prohibited from driving for 12 months. Charlie was also found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while impaired, sentenced to 51 days in jail, assessed a victim surcharge of $50 and prohibited from driving for 12 months. Charlie was also found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking, sentenced to 51 days in jail and assessed a victim surcharge of $50.

Rupert W. Genaille was found guilty of driving with a suspended licence, fined $500, assessed a victim surcharge of $75 and prohibited from driving for one year.

Andrew A. McLean was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order, sentenced to one day in jail and assessed a victim surcharge of $50. McLean was also found guilty of a second count of failing to comply with a probation order, sentenced to seven days in jail and assessed a victim surcharge of $50.

Chad P. Poitras was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited and failing to comply with a probation order, sentenced to 118 days in jail and prohibited from driving for three years. Poitras was also found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to 100 days in jail. Poitras was also found guilty of possession of a controlled substance and sentenced to 60 days in jail.

Alexis F. Romasuik was found guilty of resisting a peace officer and placed on probation for one year.

Tyrone C. Teed was found guilty of assault with a weapon, sentenced to 70 days in jail, placed on probation for 18 months and prohibited from possessing firearms for 10 years. Teed was also found guilty of theft of property with a value less than $5,000 and three counts of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to 40 days in jail.
