Wind chill warning issued
Welcome to winter. Environment Canada has issued a wind chill warning for today and Monday.
Wind chill values between -40 and -45 degrees Celsius are expected overnight and Monday. This is a warning that extreme wind chill conditions are expected or occurring in these regions. Monitor weather conditions.
Another surge of acctic air will arrive at the BC Peace and parts of the central interior tonight. Falling temperatures, combined with moderate northerly winds, will result in extreme wind chill values. People planning to spend time outdoor should excercise extreme caution as frostbite can occur within minutes.
