Man dead, woman injured, police manage 'large rural crime scene' at Red Rock
Prince George RCMP is investigating a strange incident in the Red Rock area, south of Prince George that has left one man daed and a woman critically injured.
Police say they are "managing a large rural crime scene."
The incident began early Saturday morning. Police were called out at about 5:30 a.m. to a report of a suspicious-looking vehicle in the area. The vehicle involved had fled the area but was then located by a witness a short distance away, down an embankment on a Forest Service road.
“This investigation is still at a very preliminary stage and we are not in a position to be releasing any details regarding our current findings nor any details with respect to the parties involved at this time," said Const. Lesley Smith Prince George RCMP Media Liaison.
"In essence right now we have a motor vehicle incident and a series of other possible criminal elements to investigate which includes the death of a male and a female who has serious injuries," Smith said.
