Prince George courts busy
In Provincial Court in Prince George on Jan. 26:
Hans Niedermayer was found guilty of driving while prohibited, fined $575 (due Aug. 31) and prohibited from driving for one year.
Thomas E. O'Shea was found guilty of failing to comply with a probation order, sentenced to one day in jail and placed on probation for eight months.
Shawn B. Prince was found guilty of theft of property with a value less than $5,000, fined $250 (due March 28), assessed a victim surcharge of $37.50 (due March 28) and placed on probation for one year.
Myrna C. Thomas was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol reading over .08, fined $1,000 (due Jan. 26, 2102) and prohibited from driving for one year.
Ian B. Clark was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited, sentenced to 25 days in jail and prohibited from driving for three years. Clark was also found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance and sentenced to 14 days in jail.
Morgan S. Melnyk was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol reading over .08, fined $1,500 (due Nov. 15) and assessed a victim surcharge of $225 (due Nov. 15).
Lonnie L. Tomah was found guilty of assault causing bodily harm, sentenced to six months in jail, placed on probation for 18 months and received a lifetime prohibition on the possession of firearms. Tomah was also found guilty of assault with a weapon, sentenced to six months in jail and placed on probation for 18 months. Tomah was also found guilty of resisting a peace officer and sentenced to one day in jail.
Christopher R. Russell was found guilty of break and enter and failing to comply with a probation order, sentenced to 21 days in jail and placed on probation for two years.
James W. Shanoss was found guilty of failing to comply with a condition of an undertaking and sentenced to one day in jail.
