West Vancouver Police are looking for a man suspected of trying to lure children into his van. A newer model black van with a “babysitter” sign on the back window was seen near Rockridge secondary school on Tuesday. The vehicle looks similar to one that was involved in an incident earlier this month when a male driver approached three North Vancouver children and attempted to convince them to get into the vehicle.
A judge hearing the case of a well-known environmental protester walked out of the courtroom Monday after being unable to calm down protesters of the case. Betty Krawczyk, a 78-year-old, will be sentenced March 5 for criminal contempt of court for her opposition of the new highway at Eagleridge Bluffs in West Vancouver.
