In just under two weeks, on July 7, the Merritt Mountain Music Festival returns to the stage.
After a one-year break, the festival is back with four days of country-music entertainment, and some names that will be familiar to Prince George music fans.
Montgomery Gentry, Aaron Pritchett and Crystal Shawanda have all played Prince George in the past few years, and all of them are scheduled to be at Merritt this year as well.
The festival runs July 7 to 10 and features headliners like Joe Nichols, Dierks Bentley and Vince Gill as well as legends Crystal Gayle and Ray Price.
There is also an international flavour to this year’s festival, as Australia’s Jetty Road, who were a hit at the 2009 festival, are back. Their Merritt show on Sunday comes after a show in Prince Edward Island on Friday which means, in theory, they’ll have done a cross-Canada tour in two dates.
