A Prince George man died in hospital Saturday after being stabbed earlier in the day.
Vernon Baker, 44, came to a residence in the 2300 block of Victoria Street at about 6:30 a.m. on April 11, advising the people there he had been stabbed.RCMP and emergency health personnel attended, and he was taken to Prince George Regional Hospital with a serious chest wound. He died later that day.
Baker was last seen walking by himself at about 4:45 a.m. that morning near the First Litre Pub on Strathcona Avenue. Police are asking anyone with knowledge of Baker’s action between 5 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. to contact them.
