Music lovers will want to take in Nessiefest, a three day fun-filled summer music event and fundraiser for the Prince George Folkfest Society’s Coldsnap Festival.
On Friday, Aug. 21 at Artspace, Juno winner Cara Luft, Delta Blues from Coldsnap 2009, Kansas band Moreland and Arbuckle, Victoria artists Liz Beattie, acoustic artist Maurice and local artists Kevin Hutchings, lee-Wai Yu, Karl Standeven, Isaac Smeele and The Beattie Brothers will take to the stage to bring audiences some of the finest music around. Show starts at 8 p.m.

On Aug. 22 the entertainment continues at 22245 Camp Road, Ness Lake from 3 p.m. onwards with all the artists (tickets are $25.) Bring your own food/beverage/lawn chair/weather precautions. It can get cool at night. If you’re a musician, bring along your instrument to take part in jams. Special steak dinner $10 as well as other options at The Woods at Ness Lake, a short walk down the road from Nessiefest, located on five acres owned by long time volunteer Sue Judge. Basic camping will be available at The Woods at Ness Lake. Dinner break is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
On the last day of Nessiefest (Aug. 23) artist will perform in concert at Artspace starting at 8 p.m. Featured artists will be Moreland and Arbuckle, Liz Beattie, Maurice. Concert tickets are $20.
