Fire caused about $200,000 damage to a downtown building last night.
Prince George Fire Rescue Service was called out to the 1300 block of Second Avenue at about 9 p.m.
Upon arrival crews found smoke rising from the rear of the structure, housing the Honey Tree. Crews entered the structure through the front door and held the fire to the rear of the building.
The fire was already into the walls, when crews began extinguishing the fire. Fire crews used power tools to gain access to the interior walls and ceiling.
A total of 15 firefighters from three halls responded to the fire.
The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
Crews were at the structure for five hours looking for hot spots and fire extension.
The building and content loss is estimated at $ 200,000.
At the present time the fire is under investigation.
