A city man charged with assaulting his ex-wife and trying to kill a friend of hers will go to trial in six weeks.
Leon David Willer, 24, faces numerous charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats of death and others.
Willier was arrested September 25 in connection with the alleged assault of his ex-wife Krista Willier and her friend Gabrielle McKeene.
The attempted murder charge stems from allegations that he stabbed Jeremy Mathers, a friend of Krista Willier.
He has been in custody since his arrest. He was denied bail in November.
Willier’s next appearance in court will be February 9.
His trial begins February 23 and is expected to run for five days.
