Bridal Expo presents plenty of ideas
There was a buzz of excitement Sunday at the Civic Centre as hundreds of participants in the Storybook Wedding’s Bridal Expo watched two fashion shows, gathered lots of information about “the big day”, and visited dozens of vendors’ booths offering a wide variety of samples and services.
When they arrived, brides-to-be (along with families, friends and guests) were presented with a gift bag of magazines and other goodies and inside, they were kept busy “booth browsing”. Entertainment was part of the fun and between fashion shows (Storybook Wedding, Park Avenue Apparel, Hurele Apparel), the crowd could watch Jazzmataz and Zumba dance demonstrations and listen to the music selections of Good Vibrations.
There were lots of beauty tips and ideas for brides to be as well as pampering (facials and manicures) and mouth-watering treats – the Coast Inn of the North team served up ice cream and chocolate sauce.
The show was a huge success with lots of door prizes, a grand prize Darrell Hubbell-designed pendant and, as a huge surprise, a dazzling designer wedding gown to cap off a beautiful fashion show which featured flower girls and ring bearers (tuxedos were provided by Tip Top Tailer), bridesmaids’ dresses, and, of course, stunningly beautiful wedding gowns with plenty of style and bling.
