â ¤Children’s Festival
The newly revamped Children’s Festival will be held this year at Fort George Park May 26 and 27 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will be three tents of entertainers – musicians, jugglers, magicians, acrobats, storytellers and workshops, and hands on activities. Admission price is $5 per person. The festival also celebrates Prince George’s 90th birthday and any person born on May 26 or 27 will get free admission to the festival. Organizers are looking for names of local entertainers for the festival. Please call the office at 562-4882. Volunteers are also needed.
â ¤Join the Flight Path
Apartment style living in a big city can provide some fascinating neighbours as John Cummings (Christopher Barry), the quietly confused hero of Theatre North West’s latest production, Here on the Flight Path, finds out. The hilarious romantic comedy sees columnist Cummings welcome three women: Faye, Angel and Gwen (all played by Melodee Finlay). The play runs from April 6 to 24 at 8 p.m. at Theatre North West, 556 North Nechako Road. Tickets available from Books and Company or Studio 2880. Phone orders 563-2880. â ¤Calling all canoers
Registration for the Two Rivers Canoe Club will be held on Tuesday, April 26 between 6 and 7 p.m. at Cottonwood Park. Novice paddlers will be paired with veterans to learn paddling technique, canoe handling and race strategies. Instruction and races will be held every Tuesday in May and June.
