Burnaby Board of Trade has joined forces with Retail B.C. to boost membership.
The board of trade is selling discounted yearly memberships to retailers that also includes a membership with Retail B.C.
The joint partnership agreement, offered until March 31, allows retailers to benefit from both BBOT and Retail BC’s products and services at membership rates for all events, educational workshops, publications, promotional opportunities and lobbying efforts.
“By working with the BBOT we’re able to connect to retailers like never before” stated Mark Startup, president and CEO of Retail BC in a press release. “Now Burnaby’s retailers will be linked into the most current information, products and training by combining the services of both top notch organizations.”
“One of our top priorities is to provide ever-increasing value for our members,” added Darlene Gering, executive director of the board of trade. “We are confident that this partnership will help us to better serve the needs of our retail members.”
New retail members can join both organizations at promotional rates starting as low as $275 for a one-year term. Retailers who are currently members with either association are entitled to a half-price annual membership with the partner association. In addition, members of either organization are invited to attend any BBOT or Retail BC event at the members’ rate.
Retail BC is the voice of over 3,000 retail companies in B.C. Provincially, the retail industry generates over $50 billion in sales and employs over 250,000.
The Burnaby Board of Trade now has more than 700 members of all sizes and in all business sectors that benefit from its services.
