The hype is already happening. Toby Keith’s Biggest and Baddest Tour with guest artists Aaron Pritchett and Jessie Farrell makes its way to CN Centre in Prince George. Local country music fans can circle Oct. 5 as a red letter day on the calendar.
Keith is at the height of his career, with a still sizzling hot 2008 album of 35 hit songs which debuted at number one on the charts and featured She’s A Hottie. He’s got 23 number one singles under his belt so far and sold over 31 million albums.
His latest release, She’s Never Cried in Front of Me, is also on its meteoric rise up the charts. Not to mention, on the business side of things, the artist has opened a few upscale U.S. eateries called Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill restaurants. Keith is also up there on the silver screen in Beer For My Horses (named for one of his hit songs.) He wrote and stars in the movie which also has Ted Nugent and Rodney Carrington.
The Western Canada tour plays General Motors Place on Vancouver just before heading north to our city. In an Aug. 18 press release, Paul Haagenson of Live Nation said: “We’ve had more calls over the years for the return of Toby Keith than any others. Finally, this hell-raising party package is coming back to Canada.”
Tickets for the Toby Keith Biggest and Baddest Tour go on sale Saturday, Aug. 23 at the CN Centre box office and Studio 2880.
