For anyone who ever wanted to dance, a ticket to one (or all) of Excalibur Theatre Arts Year End Dance Recital performances may help them decide if dancing for fun or for the future is for them, says Excalibur’s artistic director Bonnie Mathers. Her dance studio offers instruction in several dance disciplines – ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz, modern, Highland dance and many others. The recital is a way to see them all performed on one stage.
“We have a lot of award-winning numbers in our year-end recital. Our advanced dancers will be dancing in all three shows, so people in the audience can see all different levels of performance. It’s also an opportunity to see a wide variety of dance disciplines so that students who want to pre-register for September can choose their dance disciplines in advance,” said Mathers.
The event is also a chance for students to showcase their talents.
“This is an opportunity for every student in our studio to have their moment on stage and shine. I would encourage parents to bring their children out so they can see what dancing is all about and if they want to do it.”
Three shows are at various times on Saturday, June 23.
