There has been a lot of talk over the past couple of years about the Nechako Basin. The speculation is that the basin has oil and gas reserves rivaling the Peace River region. The economic impact of developing such reserves would be tremendous. We need only to look at the Fort St. John/Dawson Creek area to see what a thriving oil and gas industry can do for the local economy.
The over-riding impression that one gets from open line radio shows is; either there are a lot of people out there in trouble or we have become a society of whiners.
